Costs include standing charges. Gas, incentives and future exit charges are excluded. Ranking is conditional on the inputs and tariff eligibility, not a personal switching quote.

How costs are calculated
Each half-hour’s electricity is multiplied by the price for that interval, then daily standing charges are added. All published rates are in pence, including any applicable VAT.
In annual simulation mode, the annual meter total and home-charging total are split into an editable, estimated daily pattern. It is not a measured load profile.
Measured mode uses UK local time, including 46- and 50-interval clock-change days. Missing intervals are flagged, never filled with zero. Costs across gaps understate consumption.
EV rescheduling in measured mode requires a separate EV kWh column. Only that energy moves; other household use stays at its measured time. Charging that cannot fit stays at its original time.
The comparison replays current prices against usage. It does not claim those prices were available historically. Smart dispatch bonuses, solar export, batteries, rewards and gas are outside the model.
Get half-hourly readings
Download electricity use from EDF, or verify your meter with Bright / Glow and export through the local connector. The guide walks through both routes, choosing columns, timezones and checking missing readings.
How to get and import your data →
Use 30-minute consumption in kWh. Meter photographs, PDF bills and cumulative register readings cannot provide a measured time-of-use comparison.

The example is synthetic. EV kWh is optional and must be part of the household total. CSV import replaces your current readings; download a private backup first.
